The Providence School’s 2024 Teacher of the Year Sean Goggin is described as an educator with a calm presence who inspires students to take ownership of their learning. Sean builds a culture of connectedness in his classroom and whether his students are learning English or guitar, relationships come first. Mr. Goggin gets to know his students as individuals and learns about what motivates and inspires them to take their achievement to the next level. His music class has become a coveted highlight for TPS students, engaging them in a creative outlet that connects them to school in a meaningful way. A huge thank you to School Resource Officer Billy King and our friends at the Nicholasville Police Department for hosting Warner Elementary first graders on their field trip today. It's never too early to find your passion and purpose ; our students learned a lot and had a great time!

An innovative leader who is in his element in both a courtroom and a classroom, the Jessamine Career and Technology Center's 2024 Teacher of the Year is Mr. Will Hall. Will built the JCTC pre-law program from scratch (and, yes, he's a lawyer too) and students say that he continually motivates and challenges them to do their best as he supports them to reach their goals. We're excited that Will is using his passion, expertise, and commitment to excellence to help shape the legal minds of tomorrow. Congratulations to Amber Ethington for being named the 2024 Jessamine Early Learning Village Teacher of the Year! Sometimes it can take a lot to impress middle schoolers and when they say that WJMS's 2024 Teacher of the Year Kathy Henderson is "helpful, nice, funny, and the best teacher ever," it's a pretty big compliment! This 7th grade social studies teacher makes learning fun, motivating her students with creative lessons and engaging activities. Matt has demonstrated a commitment to inclusive teaching practices and has effectively supported students with diverse learning needs. Relationships are key for the 2023-2024 East Jessamine High School Teacher of the Year Ms. Chelsea Hinton. This outstanding educator fosters a genuine connection with her students and is always there when they need her. She’s described as an empathetic listener and life coach who inspires those around her to “pass it on” and be there for others as well. Her classroom is a place where students are challenged to grow and connect their knowledge to real world applications.
