Colts and football and the dance, OH MY!
Hoco is over a week away, but SPIRIT WEEK starts Monday! Take a sneak peak at the themes for each day.
Use your 🧠BRAINS to put together your outfits, have 🦁COURAGE to join in on the fun, and put your ❤️HEART into Homecoming Spirit Week. After all, there's no place like home!

October is not only Work Ethic month at WJHS, but we're diving in to The Crucible play in Mrs. Wallington & Mrs. Richardson's classroom! Students created Character Charts and had to "work for it" to find textual evidence that supported their character. This activity required diligence and attention to detail from students in the classroom, two skills that will help them be successful in whatever their future holds! Well done, Colts!

West High is ACT-ually amazing! For the third year in a row, our students have achieved a composite ACT score of 20. Congratulations to everyone involved!

"It's National School Bus Safety Week *AND* National School Safety Week!
Let's take a moment to appreciate all the hard work of our incredible bus drivers who keep our students safe every day. From regular routes, to shuttles, our bus drivers are on-the-go and are true pros. They conduct pre-trip inspections, practice safe driving techniques and ensure students are familiar with emergency procedures. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to our school community! Enjoy your chicken biscuits as a small token of our appreciation, though no price can be put on knowing our students are safe! #SafeSchoolsWeek #SchoolBusSafety #SafeTransport

We're thrilled and so proud to share that the WJHS Youth Service Center has been awarded the 🟣⭐Purple Star⭐🟣Award!
As a Purple Star School, we provide a supportive and caring environment for military-connected students. We're committed to helping these students develop the educational skills they need to succeed in college, their careers, and life.

Aly Doyle and the 10 Rings! Congrats to Aly for receiving state championship rings 8,9, and 10 for her excellence in indoor and outdoor track and field. We look forward to adding to it in your senior year!

🏈🏐👟We have football, volleyball, and cross country up for this week! Pack the stands and cheer on these athletes, and give a shout out to your favorite player in the comments below. Go West!

Well done to our varsity soccer teams. Both finished the season as 46th District Champions and 12th Region Runner-up. Wonderful post season runs! Great job Colts!

Sunshine, fresh air, cheer, dance, band, football, and some powder puff for the WIN! Some of the teachers even got in on the fun with a dance to Thunderstruck! Nothing like a pep rally on the field to hype up the Colts for the cross-town rivalry game tonight vs. the Jaguars! Let's go WEST!

As we come to the culmination of our fall sports season, we want to recognize the hard work of our athletes and coaches.
There has been so much growth and so many successes! We aren't done yet! Go Colts, thank you for representing WJHS well on the court, field, and course!

Heading into the weekend, proud to be Colts!🐴
WJHS Quality & Climate survey showed a 🌟13.1🌟 point increase on this year's KSA report, and brought us from 🟠Orange to 🟢Green!
