Happy Birthday Mrs. Blackmore! We thought we'd celebrate by inviting nearly 1000 middle schoolers to come to the school today :) Have the best day!

They say the grass is green where you water it most and no one brings the H2O like our very own Mrs. Tidei! Every day she pours her all into helping our students become their best selves and her impact cannot be overstated!
Congratulations to Mrs. Tidei for being named Jessamine County Schools District Middle School Teacher of the Year!

At EJMS we're so excited about the 26-27 school year that we figured we might as well up the ante and throw an open house block party!
We're inviting EJMS students and families to join us Wednesday, September 2nd, from 5:30-7pm for festivities, while connecting with one another, as well as EJMS teachers and staff.
As a bonus, an informational meeting for any 7th graders interested in attending the annual 7th grade Charleston trip will be held in the library from 6-6:30pm during the block party!
Come out and see why the grass is green on our side!

Monday starts the 26-27 school year and we can't wait to see all of our Jags back in the building!

Continuing to introduce our new staff in these final days of summer!
Hi! My name is Sarah Propes and I am so excited to come home to East Middle! I will be teaching Social Studies. I am looking forward to the opportunity to sharing my love of History with the students in my classes! History gives us the chance to make the world a better place by creating understanding and good citizens who can make wise decisions. The more we understand the past, the better we can shape the future.

Hello EJMS Community -
We had a great week with the EJMS Staff last week as we're gearing up for a terrific school year. Teachers are getting classrooms ready and making learning spaces warm and welcoming There are beautiful new blue and green accents around the building, not to mention our brand new athletics facilities. We hope to see our sixth graders on Wednesday morning for Middle School 101 at EJMS. You can start dropping off students at 8:40 in the car loop and the fun begins at 9:00. The school will also be open for our 7th and 8th graders and their families. Counselors will be available to give new students a tour of the building at 1:30 on Wednesday afternoon. Here's our final back to school edition of the family weekly update before we really are back at school. Check it out to be ready for that first day (and find out more about what's happening this week at EJMS). Enjoy the last week before school starts!
