Please welcome Mrs. Godbey to the Jaguar Family!
Hello! My name is Hailey Godbey, and I am excited to be joining EJMS as the Family and Consumer Science teacher. Family and Consumer Science is a subject I am very passionate about, and I look forward to helping students develop valuable life skills that they can use both now and in the future!
EJMS holds a special place in my heart, as it is where I attended middle school. I later graduated from Garrard County High School, earned my bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University, and am currently pursuing my master’s degree. For the past two years, I have had the privilege of teaching in Lincoln County, where I gained valuable experience in the Family and Consumer Science department.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy cooking, sewing, reading, and spending time outdoors. Most importantly, I love making memories with my two-year-old son, Brooks, and spending time with my husband, Trent. We also have an old dog named Holly who tags along with us everywhere.
I am looking forward to an amazing year at EJMS!

As we continue to welcome our new staff, let's hear it for Mrs. Rhodus!
My name is Erica Wilson Rhodus, and I am thrilled to be joining East Middle as a 6th Grade Math teacher. This marks my 10th year in Jessamine County Schools. I spent seven wonderful years at Wilmore Elementary, where I discovered my passion for teaching mathematics, followed by two years at Red Oak Elementary.
Over the past year, I worked to extend my certification to middle school mathematics because I have a genuine passion for both this content area and this age group. I am excited for the opportunity to help students grow in confidence, problem-solving, and mathematical thinking.
Outside of school, my family includes my husband, Billy; my son, Connor, who is a junior at West Jessamine High School; and our two dogs, Milo and Bear. When I'm not in the classroom, you can probably find me on a soccer field cheering on my favorite player!
I can't wait to meet my students and families and see all the opportunities this new journey will bring. It's going to be a great year!

Let's hear a warm Jaguar Welcome for Lain Hager, who will serve as the Youth Service Center Coordinator, beginning in the 2026-2027 school year!
I am incredibly excited to join the East Jessamine Middle School community and begin this role supporting students and families. As an East Jessamine High School alum (Class of 2016), I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to a community that has meant so much to me. Over the past four years, I have worked in prevention with New Vista, supporting youth and families through education and connection to resources. I am passionate about creating a supportive environment where students and families feel empowered, and I look forward to helping EJMS students thrive.

Please welcome me in congratulating Stacy Amburgey as the next Assistant Principal at East Jessamine Middle School!
A note from Ms. Amburgey:
After twenty years of serving students, families, & staff at our school as a teacher and behavior coach, I look forward to stepping into the role as Assistant Principal because I believe the grass is green on our side when we invest in our people, build strong relationships, and work together toward a shared vision. This school already has so much to celebrate, and I look forward to supporting our students, staff, and families as we continue to grow, thrive, and create opportunities for success. Together, we will nurture a positive culture where everyone can flourish and take pride in the great things happening at East Jessamine Middle School.
