East Jessamine Middle School invites all veterans and active-duty military members to be our guests of honor on Wednesday November 11th for breakfast and a special Veterans Day assembly. Breakfast will be provided in the library starting at 9 am and the assembly will start at 9:30 am.

Students in Mrs. Harrell's Agriscience class have been hard at work starting their own cucumber, radish, and lettuce seeds in hopes of growing their very own salad! 🥒++🥬=🥗
Each student researched, carefully chose, and planted their veggie varieties. Once the seedlings were big enough, they transplanted them into their mobile veggie garden boxes to care for them and watch them grow!

It is Anti-Bullying Spirit Week so check out the calendar for what to wear when and we hope our whole school is decked out in orange to show we are united for Unity Day on Wednesday.
This week we also have a health/PE field trip, choir and band concerts, and the fall dance, Back to the 90's on Friday. Don't forget to get tickets for that Wednesday during lunch! It's going to be a great week at EJMS and we can't wait to get it started!

Over the past two days Mrs. Simpson, Mr. Warren, and Mr. Paulus' 8th grade classes participated in an interactive investigation of the Boston Massacre. Students were given the opportunity to collaborate, while analyzing primary and secondary sources, allowing them to take on the role of historical detectives. 🕵

Mrs.Godbey's 6th grade FACS students got creative in the kitchen while making their very own fall-themed charcuterie boards! Students worked together to plan, prepare, and arrange their boards while showing off their creativity and presentation skills.
From sweet treats to savory snacks, these boards turned out AMAZING! We definitely have some future chefs on our hands! 👩🍳🧡
