Our first spirit week of the year is coming up soon and we want to see everyone's school spirit on full display! Students are encouraged to participate in daily themes from 8/31-9/4 to keep the positive EJMS vibes flowing strong!

Make sure to bring that same energy to each of the three cross-county athletic matchups throughout the week to help prove the grass (or turf) is green on our side!

EJMS spirit week themes for 8/31-9/4. Monday: Wear animal print and royalty attire. Tuesday: 6th grade wear green, 7th wear blue, and 8th wear black. Wednesday: Dress as a tacky tourist. Thursday: Wear your best Jaguar gear! Friday: Dress in cozy pajamas.

For any East students interested in boy's basketball, EJMS with be hosting three open gym sessions!

Just a reminder that all participants must have an up-to-date KHSAA physical uploaded to Final Forms in order to participate.

At EJMS we're so excited about the 26-27 school year that we figured we might as well up the ante and throw an open house block party! We're inviting EJMS students and families to join us Wednesday, September 2nd, from 5:30-7pm for festivities, while connecting with one another, as well as EJMS teachers and staff. As a bonus, an informational meeting for any 7th graders interested in attending the annual 7th grade Charleston trip will be held in the library from 6-6:30pm during the block party! Come out and see why the grass is green on our side!

EJMS is hosting a block party open house September 2nd, from 5:30pm-7pm. Students and families can enjoy food, music, and fun while meeting the EJMS staff and connecting as a community. For those interested, the 7th grade Charleston trip informational meeting will be in the library from 6pm-6:30pm.

Monday starts the 26-27 school year and we can't wait to see all of our Jags back in the building!

Thrilled to announce Coach Coofer in an additional role at EJMS as an instructional assistant!

Leroy Coofer is a proud husband to his wife, Abby, and father of four. He is also an Army veteran who values family, hard work, faith, and giving back to the community.

Leroy currently serves as the Head Coach of the East Jessamine Jaguars middle school football program. He is excited to be joining the East Jessamine Middle School Team and looks forward to getting to know the students, families, and staff. Most importantly, he is excited for the opportunity to work with some amazing kids, help them grow, and be a positive influence in their lives
