The only thing better than a good book is sharing a good book!

Jessamine County schools is partnering with Care Council for a book drive through the month of September to show just how true that is!

We are asking for gently-used children's books to redistribute to our primary students, with dropoff locations at Central Office and Jessamine County School libraries. Let's come together, as a community, so we can make sure every home can experience the joys of reading! 📚

Information regarding a book drive partnership between Care Council and Jessamine County Schools. The book drive will take place from September 2nd-October 2nd with the goal of collecting gently-used children's books to donate to our kindergarten and 1st grade students in order to promote literacy at home.
A reminder that our annual Block Party Open House is tomorrow evening from 5:30-7:00! This is an outdoor event that is a great opportunity to meet your child's teachers and tour the building if you are interested. There will be a Charleston meeting for 7th grade families attending that trip at 6pm in the library.

Yes, it will be hot! Please be sure to bring water and dress as comfortably as possible! We will have hot dogs, chips, and water available, as well as the cafeteria will be open for a cooling spot, but it's always a good idea to come prepared.

There will be additional vendors that will have food to purchase if you are interested.

We look forward to seeing you in the bus loop!
