And one final introduction!
Hello! My name is Derick Hudson, and I’m excited to be returning to Jessamine County Schools as the In-School Suspension (ISS) teacher at East Jessamine Middle School. As an East Jessamine alum, coming back to serve in the same community that helped shape me makes this role especially meaningful.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Miriah, our two dogs, Gizmo and Leo, watching Kentucky sports, and traveling whenever I can. I also enjoy coaching and mentoring young people and believe that building positive relationships can make a lasting difference.
I’m looking forward to reconnecting with the students, staff, and families of Jessamine County and being part of the East Jessamine Middle School community once again.

It's Mrs. Foster's birthday, and all who know her know she is truly a ray of sunshine. Hope your birthday is as full of sunshine as you are, Mrs. Foster!

Our 3rd Annual 6th Grade Locker Jam event will be right around the corner once school starts! As you’re doing your back-to-school shopping, be on the lookout for fun locker accessories and decorations. Just make sure anything you purchase is removable and won’t damage lockers.
This has quickly become one of our favorite homegrown traditions—a fun way to welcome our newest middle schoolers to the building and help set the stage for a great year ahead. We’ll share more details closer to the start of the school year, but we wanted to give everyone a head start on finding those perfect locker accessories and decorations. 💙💚🐆

Hi! I’m Ashley Fields, and I’m excited to be joining East Jessamine Middle School as an instructional assistant. While this is my first year at EJMS, I bring four years of teaching experience with me.
I have a wonderful family that means everything to me, my husband, Chad, my daughter Lexie, and my son Zane. We’re also looking forward to welcoming a sweet granddaughter, Maebrie, this fall!
In my free time, I love spending time with my family, trying new foods, traveling, and enjoying life with my dogs. I’m so excited to be part of the team and can’t wait for a great year ahead!

Happy Birthday Ms. Bernadette! Thank you for your always smiling face and your dedication to our school!

Have a great day celebrating, Mr. Harris!

It might be America's birthday, but we are too busy celebrating one of our amazing counselors! Happy Birthday Mrs. White!

Not new to EJMS, but in a new role...let's hear it for Mr. Bodle!
Hi! My name is David Bodle and I am thrilled to continue my teaching journey at East Middle! I started my education career at Rosenwald Elementary as the MSD teacher and spent last year as an Instructional Assistant here at East. I love the community and students of East and cannot wait to begin my new role as your STEAM teacher for the upcoming school year. Prior to joining the East Middle team, I spent a number of years working for Cincinnati Children's Hospital. I'm an Asbury grad, a big Bengals fan (Who Dey!) and love spending time in the outdoors. I am incredibly excited to foster a sense of curiosity and creativity in our students as we explore the different aspects of STEAM. Can't wait to meet more of you all this upcoming school year!
