This week, we have a Veterans' Day assembly on Tuesday, the school play opens Thursday night, and our Jaguar athletics are going strong with Boys Basketball, Volleyball open gym, and Guard info sessions. As the dust settles from Halloween and a long weekend, we want to take a moment to congratulate our October Employees of the Month! Congratulations to Mr. Dobie, Mr. Pitney, Mrs. Jacobs, and Mrs. Areaux! Thank you for your dedication to engagement, rigor, and holding all our students to high expectations. And congratulations to our Classified Employees of the Month, Mrs. Thomasina, Mrs. Wallace, and Mrs. Hager! They constantly keep the wheels turning and are always patient, kind, and smiling each day! We had a great first day selling Boo Grams at lunch! Every day during lunch this week Boo Grams will be on sale for $1! Students get a postcard of their choice and a small bag of candy! They can buy as many as they want and send them to their friends or teachers! There are a variety of postcards and candy! #proudtoroar

Thanks to all for your help with our district-wide charity coin drive for Jessamine Cares last week and to the parents and family members who helped with our first dance of the year on Friday. We've got a lot going on this week; it's a Spirit Week so check out What's Happening at EJMS to find out the theme each day. There are also many community events and opportunities this week for you and your family that we hope you'll take advantage of. Find out all that and more in this week's edition of our weekly update.

Alice finds herself in the subway station in Central Park, lost from her sister. She must find her way out with the help of a late rabbit, grinning cat, Queen of the Park, and so much more! Head to EJMS to see Alice in Wonderland: Urban Edition! Tickets are sold online using the QR code, or at the door!
Boo Grams on sale next week! Each day in the cafeteria we will be selling Boo Grams! Students pay $1 to get a postcard and a small bag of candy! They can choose to send it to their friends or teachers! All proceeds go back into the Culture Committee fund to provide other opportunities for staff and students!
