Your child's Picture Day is this week!
We're thrilled to partner with Holifield Photography to provide families with high quality pictures of their students this year! Picture Days will be Wednesday October 16 and Thursday October 17th. Please refer to the Picture Day Schedule image to see which day your student will have their picture taken. Picture Make-Up Day will be Friday November 8th.
Important Notes:
• Students will bring home a personalized order sheet at the end of their picture day
• Photo proofs will be available online within 3 business days
• Please place all orders at www.mylexpix.com
• Orders will not be accepted at JELV
• Picture packages will arrive prior to Thanksgiving Break

The Early Learning Village had a wonderful Hoedown with over 800 family members in attendance. Community partners including the Nicholasville Fire Department, Jessamine County Public Library, Copsicle Truck, KEIS and the Citizen Police Academy added to the fun. Games, hair painting, photo booths, and the petting zoo made for a night of great family engagement.
Kindergarten students engaging in math discourse with Ms. Fryman! We are learning about three-dimensional shapes and using the words heavy and light to describe the weight of objects.
The Village custodians are the best. Thank you David, Mandy, Dylan, John, Sam and Bobby for keeping our building and classrooms looking great. Happy National Custodian's Day!

NTI Day Information
When school is cancelled due to unsafe weather conditions, your child will have activities to complete at home. Completion of these activities will count for your child's attendance on that day. The Scholastic Book Fair will be at JELV starting this week, Thursday September 19 and goes through Thursday September 26! Your child will be able to shop at the fair during the school day or during the Hoedown on September 26!
