We are so excited to welcome our new Kindergarteners this week and our Preschoolers very soon! Starting school for the first time can be exciting as well as create some fears. Here are some tips to help ease those fears! If families and school staff work together it can be a smooth transition for all!

Preschool Application Packets & Kindergarten Registration Packets for the 2024-2025 School Year are available outside JELV's main entrance. These may be picked up at any time that is convenient to you.
JELV K Students - First day (Phase-In Day) will be either August 14 or August 15. To ensure your child will start on one of these 2 Phase-In Days, submit a complete Registration Packet no later than Monday Aug. 12th.
JELV PreK Students - First day (Phase-In Day) will be either August 28 or August 29. Submit a complete Application Packet as soon as possible to see if your child will qualify for preschool & get your child's assigned Phase-In Day.
First Week Of August Office Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday - Thursday)
Regular Office Hours Resume Monday August 12th: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
IMPORTANT NOTE: Registration isn't final until a COMPLETE Registration Packet is delivered to JELV's Office Staff.
Teacher letters have been mailed and should arrive in your mailbox no later than next Tuesday Aug. 6th. Your letter will include your assigned date & time to meet the teacher, drop off school supplies, and see the classroom. If you haven't received your letter by Wednesday Aug. 7th, please call JELV's office at 859-887-5358 between the hours of 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Class lists will be finalized this week. Don't miss the chance to have your child assigned to a teacher and receive a teacher letter the first week of August. Turn in your child's registration packet and/or missing documents no later than this Tuesday July 23rd to ensure your child receives a teacher letter by the first week of August and is included in Meet The Teacher on August 8th or 9th. It's a beautiful day for a car show and touch a truck! Along with some really cool cars, there's inflatables, face painting, and popsicles for FREE! This is also a great time to turn in those last minute registrations and enter to win prizes !!!!

The Nicholasville Police Department is hosting a car show on Saturday, July 20th from 10-2 in the parking lot between JCTC and JELV. There will be inflatables and face painting (free of charge). Available for purchase, there will be food, kettle corn and the chance to "dunk a cop". JELV staff will also be accepting complete registration packets during this time. We are also extending the time to enter to win the tent, wagon, and book basket! Just stop by the JELV table to enter to win!

Complete Kindergarten Registration Packets and Preschool Application Packets are being accepted on May 21 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
Please note that a complete packet must be turned in even if an Online Registration has been submitted.
Haven't picked up a packet yet?? Then please stop by JELV and get one at your convenience from the cabinet located outside JELV's main entrance doors. Can't make it to the May 21st drop-off, then plan to submit your complete packet any school day from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
