EJMS FOOTBALL: Tomorrow we will be offering our first Winter Workouts after school on the practice field at the Middle School until 5:30
All players who will be in 7th or 8th grade next year and plan on joining the football team this year are highly encouraged to participate!
They will need to bring weather-appropriate clothes (it should be 60+ degrees tomorrow). They will drop clothes off in the weight room in the morning where they will stay until they change clothes after school.
If your player has football cleats, they should bring those, if not, please bring tennis shoes.
Please also bring a water bottle and make sure it is filled up before getting to the field.
Also, check Final Forms to be sure your player has a physical on file with the school within the last 12 months. That link is posted on this message.
NOTE: We will be inviting incoming 5th & 6th graders to join us for Spring Conditioning after Spring Break in April.

Hello EJMS Families and Friends -
We hope that you and your students have enjoyed the long weekend. As usual, we've got a busy week at EJMS including the beginning of track with practice and a parent meeting Tuesday. We're also excited to continue seeing our hallways come alive in a celebration of all of the contributions and stories of Black Americans. Be sure to check out next week's newsletter for some pictures of those. We'll end the week with our Glow Dance and can't wait to see all of our students decked out and ready to have fun on Friday. Hope it's a good week for you as well!

Our 7th grade art students have some masterpieces on display in the rotunda! They interviewed a staff member then created name art signs based on the staff member's responses. So personalized and thoughtful. They also included a note of how they chose each component. Art to treasure forever! 💙💚
FOOD TRUCK WARS! 8th grade FCS Essentials had to create a marketing plan, design a menu and logo, and then prepared food from scratch for a big audience today! The judges gave feedback on all aspects. Thanks to Mrs. Marksberry for giving our students this opportunity and helping teachers fill their tummies with some delicious creations!
At East, we have the best. 💙💚
To wrap up our Teacher Spotlight, this month's Teacher to See is Mrs. Foster in 7th grade Math! Often described as the "sunshine of East," anyone who knows her knows that to be true. She loves her students completely and holds them to high standards. She definitely has that East Spirit!
Mrs. Roller definitely deserves the All Day, Every Day award! From teaching language arts to managing RTI, co-sponsoring Beta and a million things in between, she gives 100% to East Middle every day. We appreciate you, Mrs. Roller!
Another PBIS Pro to celebrate! Mr. Sarrett creates engaging lessons to make social studies come alive! His positive approach to his classroom makes it a safe place for students to learn. Congrats, Mr. Sarrett!
Our Teacher Spotlight continues! Mrs. Cornelius is the recipient of the Game Changer Award. She is constantly looking for ways to collaborate with teachers to provide differentiated strategies to push all students!
